The Pokémon Safari Zone
During the first generations of the Pokémon title one of the elements that could never be missing was the Safari Zone.
An enclosure for the protection of Pokémon wildlife fauna and flora, but then doubt arises, because we can capture Pokémon in a Protected Zone?
Some Pokémon from the Kanto Safari Zone
The following information was extracted directly from the Official Fan Book of Pocket Monster which was distributed in Japan during 1997.
“The Fucsia City Safari Zone is a wildlife site where many rare Pokémon don’t appear anywhere else live. This is a Pokémon paradise.”
“Although it is supposed to be a place that protects many Pokémon on the brink of extinction, we must remember that it is also a Pokémon observation space.”
“You are tasked with completing the Pokédex that Professor Samuel Oak commissioned you for Pokémon research purposes.”
“To avoid the exploitation and damage of fauna and flora that inhabits the wilderness you have a limit of 500 steps to explore the Zone.”
“You can’t enter with your Pokémon either, this will prevent some unnecessary fighting where the wild Pokémon can get injured.”
“You must pay a small financial price not to enter the venue, but to pay the expenses of the shelter for the 30 Safari Balls you receive when you enter the Safari Zone.”
This book was trying to solve several doubts that existed at the time regarding the Pokémon world and explain some elements present in Pokémon Red & Pokémon Green games
